Covenant Hands exists to reflect God’s grace by bridging compassion and action. Rooted in Christ’s love, we partner to support local and global ministries.
Through collaboration with missionaries like Lorraine Charinda and the Kamisamba Farm in the Democratic Republic of Congo, we strive to nurture hope, provide resources, and cultivate self-reliance one helping hand at a time.
Support for Kamisamba Farm
The Kamisamba Farm is a 35-acre farm in the city of Kamina in the SE port of Democratic Republic of Congo. It includes livestock of 50 pigs, chickens, ducks and goats. There are also fish ponds that are maintained on the farm. The farm grows vegetables, grains and fruit trees.
The main purpose of the farm is to serve as a training and production center providing seeds, animals and saplings to local communities and helping them improve their agricultural production.
Agriculture Methodist missionary Lorraine Charinda facilitates the work and ministry of Kamisamba Farm in the Congo since 2019. She has a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science and a master’s degree in agricultural economics. She is a missionary of the United Methodist Church through global ministries. One of her main roles is as a teacher.

From Lorraine:
“Our top priority is the water issue, which has slowed our work and put livestock at risk. We don’t want to endanger our farm workers or nearby communities sharing the same water source. Solar lithium batteries for water pumping are essential and cost $9,000. They’ll last 10 years.”
